Favourite things to do at South Bank this April

Favourite things to do at South Bank this April

South Bank can be as relaxing or as active as you like.  There are always activities and events taking place or perhaps you just want to chill with a wander thru the Grand Arbour or a swim at Streets Beach. When it's time to eat there is an endless selection of restaurants, cafes and bars to dine at. After my sister site, Lady Brisbane recently created her list of favourite things to do this April in Brisbane, which you can read here, I thought what a great idea for South Bank! So here are my favourite things to do at South Bank this April.

Catch a sunrise over the Brisbane sign

Set your alarm clock and kick off the doona to catch the sunrise over the Brisbane sign at South Bank. The experience is absolutely worth the early morning rise and then you can reward yourself with a coffee.

Grab a coffee to go from Dot Espresso

Dot Espresso situated on Stanley Street is open daily from 6am serving Di Bella Coffee Modena blend as well as tea, chai tea and hot chocolate.  Tempt your taste buds with mini muffins, raspberry chocolate brownies, macadamia and white-chocolate slice, salads and gluten-free goodies.

Eat an Easter Bombe at Stokehouse Q

Stokehouse Q is the South Bank restaurant to indulge this Easter with their infamous Easter Bombe, available only from April 10 to 23. The double twist on The Bombe is now a much anticipated Easter tradition at the iconic riverside restaurant and this year there is a very Australian flavour theme being celebrated by Chef Richard Ousby with Lemon Myrtle and Wattle Seed being given a starring role. You can read more about the Stokehouse Q Easter Bombe here.

Admire the beautiful ruby red lanterns

To celebrate the Buddha Birth Day Festival South Bank is decorated with ruby red lanterns. Take a wander along the Clem Jones Promenade and thru the Grand Arbour and be bedazzled by their beauty. You can read more about the Buddha Birth Day Festival here

Feel good with free fitness

This April feel good with the FREE Medibank Feel Good program. The program offers free fitness classes five days a week until May 6 and is the perfect way to motivate yourself and get your daily dose of exercise. Qualified instructors run classes in Energy, Yoga, Zumba, Bubacise and Ballet Fit with all classes being held on the Little Stanley Street Lawns and the popular water-based classes also return to the Boat Pool. You can read more about the Medibank Feel Good program here.

Enjoy South Bank this April and let me know what you get up to.
